Good coffee, good treats, very friendly, excellent atmosphere, and free wifi. What more can you ask for in a coffee shop?

Great place. Friendly people, excellent coffee. Also really good hot and cold sandwiches.
(5)Christiaan T.
probably the coolest coffee house in a hundred miles. Try the bbq chicken quesadilla

Reality Tuesday is a great place. It's so comfortable and inviting- deep cushy chairs for reading, nice tables for laptops, writing, games. My friends and I can't get over the great desserts including some of the best cheesecake you will ever eat!! Everyone on the staff is nice, and the prices are reasonable. Great coffee and tea.
(5)PJ L.
The coffee is great, but sometimes they can be slow in getting your drink. Also, I've noticed that the place smells bad! I think it is from the food preparation going on right behind the counter, but when I leave I don't smell like coffee, but like grease. I'll leave my coat in the car next time, and get my drink to go.

Stopped in on a lazy Saturday afternoon, hoping a shot of caffeine would make me more productive. I'd never been to this cute coffee-shop on Dixie Highway, so I was hoping they'd make a decent caramel frappe to bring me back from the walking dead. I lucked out. The double shot caramel frappe (about $4) reinvigorated me enough to get some work done. Though I didn't bring my laptop, Reality Tuesday offers customers free wi-fi in a comfortable setting with tons of power outlets (I notice these things because I'm always scouting out new places to work from). I wish I hadn't eaten before I'd arrived, because their pastries and cakes looked magnificent. According to their website, these desserts are made daily in their kitchen.

Not only are the coffee, smoothies, and pastries great, so is the service. I typically get smoothies and a donut and it can't be beat! You can grab a frequent drinker card and earn free coffee or smoothies. You will always be greeted with a smile!
(5)Robin B.
I love this cafe. The menu has a variety of food from breakfast to dinner and they have daily homemade pastries. The staff is really friendly and makes great suggestions. The cafe has homey seating such as couches, chairs, and tables. They also have free wifi which is always good with a nice cup of joe in the morning.
(5)Sarah D.
So glad I finally tried this place! Came here on a Sunday morning with my husband hoping to discover a good coffee shop near home. After taking a minute to look over their long list of flavors, I ended up ordering a cookie dough latte and my husband got their chai spice latte. We also got a glazed doughnut and a glazed cake doughnut, you know, to compare (I personally vote normal glazed but my husband votes cake glazed so I guess it's up to your own tastes). The place was crowded but we managed to get a table and happily devoure our treats. Can't wait to go back!

OK, I apologize to all those 2 to 3 people who may be reading my reviews for the long hiatus (which probably includes my mother who is always tracking my check-ins, HI MOM!) But on to the important stuff-- the best cafe spot in Covington. This is always my favorite meet up for my NKY clients because it really gives me an excuse to have their delicious chai tea latte and other delicious deli sammiches on their menu. And yes, I did say "sammich," but only for pure reason that I giggle like a school girl when I get to indulge there. For other great reasons, it's always extremely quiet. They have free wifi and its a good spot to work for hours without being interrupted. Overall, awesome place!
(5)Amanda V.
I love this place, and I will love it forever. They have free wi-fi, which is a major bonus but it isn't the main reason I love Reality Tuesday. The main reason I love them is they remember you - they are so friendly! On top of that, they serve Big Train which not many coffee houses serve in this area. Chai is my major weakness, and Reality Tuesday, in my opinion, makes the best chai drinks (it's a tie between them and Yesterday's Cafe and Tea Room)...whether iced, hot or blended. One other thing - if you go to Reality Tuesday to work or study or whatever, know you'll be able to do so without being interrupted. It isn't a loud place (though it stays pretty consistently busy throughout the day), and the staff does a great job of just letting you be without bothering you. It's a great option to go to if you're tired of being in the office, at home or in the library. Lastly, the bakery items are to die for. They're all made by Traci's husband, Bill, and he is a baking genius. Try the donuts - they're so good!
(5)Hank R.
A great coffee shop. The fact that it isn't Starbucks is always a plus and that staff was very friendly. I was able to read a book while there and was virtually uninterrupted by any of the decent people who were also enjoying the place. I shall return to this place again.
(4)vickki c.
Comfortable lunch. I enjoy the coffee and fresh sandwiches. The couch area could use sprucing up. I left some books this time. As they have a bookshelf at front for those of us who like to pass on books or get one free!
(4)Alisha W.
Favorite coffee place of all time! The highlander grogg is the best coffee I've has and the twenty below is great if you aren't feeling coffee. Best cheesecake around, try the chocolate espresso! My family and I love to hangout here, you won't regret it.
(5)Paige M.
I've heard about Reality Tuesday on WNKU, and must have driven past here dozens of times, but it wasn't until I got together for coffee with a friend that I learned how cool this place really is. Right along the Park Hills stretch of Dixie Highway (near the double traffic lights), this local coffee shop has a massive interior filled with tables, nooks for working in, lots of power outlets, and even a lounge area with couches. Step up to the counter and meet a smiling face of a young barista. Reality Tuesday serves up a variety of coffees and can make anything you would order at a chain. I went with my go-to item: a caramel mocha. It was spot on, actually, better than the chain because I could taste the coffee and caramel flavoring. It wasn't overpowered with sweetness. My friend and I spent a few hours chatting here without feeling rushed to leave. It was a great atmosphere to relax and catch up. He even mentioned that he "camped out" at Reality Tuesday for a few days when the electric was out at his house. Everyone is very welcoming here. There's not really a type of clientele at this coffee shop. I saw a mother and child, a group of teens wearing Notre Dame hoodies, young professionals on their lap tops, and two retired guys shooting the breeze. To compliment this, Reality Tuesday offers more than just coffee, they have different kinds of tea as well as pastries and baked goods to nibble on. If you're looking for some java, a work space, or just a place to congregate in Covington / Park Hills, Reality Tuesday is your place. Price per person: $4.00
(4)Sarah C.
I wish I remembered to come here more! Im not a huge coffee drinker, but they have plenty of really yummy lattes and their chai is rich and delicious. If I don't order cheesecake or a brownie right off the bat, I normally get one by the time my drink is ready. That being said, the barristas here are not always the quickest, but it's so comfortable and loungy that I normally don't mind. I just pick up the latest city beat/metromix/inside nky magazine while I wait. And if you've never tried their food, you should. There's a particularly messy BBQ chicken sandwich that's pretty delicious. And their cafe salad is hearty and delicious! (Upgraded to 5 stars because my latest experiences have been much quicker)
(5)Jasaiah S.
Really used to love this place however a recent event screams NEVER AGAIN in my book. Placed an order for 20 large cookies on Tuesday. Waited twenty minutes in line to place this order... And when i placed it, there was not one problem. Was having a farewell party for my AA the following Thursday. Got a phone call the next day from a guy questioning my entire order... Size, color, amount etc.. Completely interrupting my meeting asking me questions that I specifically saw the young lady write down... Just to tell me he was cancelling my order... Because he doesn't"normally" do this and the weather was supposed to be bad that Thursday, and he didn't want to take the risk of me not coming to get them.... VERY POOR BUSINESS.... I liked this place before they got up on that high horse....needless to say.. My business will be taken ANYWHERE ELSE.. sorry Tracy but your business just took a turn for the worse...
(1)Krista M.
Easy location away from a lot of hustle and bussel and their Chia is really impressive. I love all the windows and booth seating options. It has this cool coffee shop feel that got married to a Diner. Its a great place to sit down to do some work and the people there are very helpful. I love how they have late hours!
(4)Christopher G.
Reality Tuesday is very much what one would expect from your local coffee house. The food is respectable, but pricey for its portions; the drinks are numerous and sundry, and quite delicious in that this-is-so-not-a-healthy-sugar-intake kind of way; the decor is just artsy enough to draw in the core clientele without offending the suits who come in for lunch. If you're looking for a quiet place to write your bildungsroman or browse the internet for pictures of cats making silly faces, this place will more than meet your standards. It's quiet, rarely crowded, with half a dozen or so comfy chairs and recliners and several more tables and booths. Outlets for laptops are ample, and people are generally nice enough to leave you to your own devices if that's your bag, although occasionally you'll find yourself beside a neighbor who is really excited to show you his new iPad. It's a bit out of the way unless you're a boring suburbanite, and not worth the cost of a meal if you're hungry. But the atmosphere, the servers, and of course the coffee and tea themselves make it a good regular haunt for those who like a spot to chill and be classy.
(4)Eric K.
Nice atmosphere, great people. Only one barista is a big bottleneck on Saturday morning. 20+ minute wait for an Americano.
(3)La'Keyta H.
I like the warm atmosphere and feeling as if I can spend all day here. I normally come in for the hot chocolate because as a non coffee drinker, hot chocolate is my everything, and this place has some great pastries. I have tried the food here on a couple of occasions and typically do enjoy their breakfast. I do recommend this place to anyone who wants to support their local business but also enjoy some nice treats.
(4)Katrina H.
I had a great time hanging out here, but unfortunately my coffee tasted like burnt butt-hole (no, I don't honestly know what that tastes like, I am just ASSuming). Sorry to be graphic, but it was terrible. I was at RT with a couple friends, and they had frozen coffee blends, which I tried. They were both delicious.
(4)Matt T.
This is another review that would be so much better if Yelp allowed half stars. Because this place is better then A-Ok but since I am a not a huge coffee fan, I really cant say I am a fan. But what are you going to do. Well if you are one of those who gets their caffeine fix from coffee then you owe yourself a visit to Reality Tuesday. Its a quaint independent coffee house. This place has it all. - free wifi - art on the wall - pastries - warm and inviting atmosphere - more power outlets then you can shake a stick at (but why you would shake a stick at a power outlet is beyond me) and - good coffee so I would totally recommend this to all my coffee drinking fans. Especially those who miss Bean Haus on Main street in Covington.
(3)Cathy R.
This is a quaint coffee shop that also serves pastries and lunch. Located in a small strip center on Dixie Highway in Park Hills, it has an eclectic interior with a variety of tables, a few booths and even some Barcaloungers. Since I'm not a coffee drinker, I've landed here several times for lunch and have always been pleased. I've tried the tomato basil ravioli soup, the turkey club, a grilled chicken salad, and a mozzarella pizza. The chalkboard behind the counter is covered with various beverage options and there are always tempting muffins and cookies in the bakery case. It seems like patrons linger here, so if you want more than a beverage, you might want to call ahead. The food service seems a little slow, but the employees are always friendly.
(4)Angela C.
There's something very comforting about Reality Tuesday. (a little reminiscent of Sitwell's in Clifton). Maybe I was already having a weird day but I walked in and just felt a little better. The room has a lot of seating sprinkled about, and I suspect that anytime chalkboard menus are involved I get slightly enamored. Tasty food and tasty coffee. I would agree with other yelpers that it seems like the coffee prices are a little more, but I generally am ok with that when it comes to local coffee shops. In sum, Reality Tuesday has everything I enjoy about a coffee shop.
(4)Krystyna C.
After driving by Reality Tuesday about 500 billion times, my husband and I finally had the chance to stop in here on a Saturday morning before heading to watch a baseball game. It's a very cute cafe and you can tell that 90% of the people in there are regulars that are in there every weekend. The guy in front of us had to ask one of the baristas what his girlfriend always got and they were able to rattle it right off. I ordered my normal Vanilla Latte and my husband got a 'Jack Bauer' of black coffee. We also each tried a pastry, he had the apple scone and I tried the banana walnut muffin. Both were absolutely delicious, as were our coffees. The only thing that I was not impressed with was the obvious new girl working the register. After waiting in line for about 10 minutes, we finally get up to order and she just looks at us with a blank stare. No smile, no "good morning," no "how can I help you?" but instead a blank, dead stare. What kind of customer service is that? The girls making the coffees were more friendly than that. She probably needed a coffee more than I did at that point. We'll be back to Reality Tuesday, and next time I hope we have a friendlier person working the register.
(4)Marty B.
Love this place. My wife, kids and I are all regulars. The coffee is consistently good, but the pastries are consistently awesome. The owners, Traci and Bill, take great pride in their product. I believe that Bill's family had some type of pastry place on the east coast. It shows because the pastries in this place show the mark of experience and someone that loves making them. Their sandwiches are also pretty good- I like their vegetarian option. I recommend this place all the time. It's a staple stop for our family. We see our friends, fellow school kids and have coffee meetings here all the time. A++
(5)Tanner D.
Undoubtedly some of the best coffee in NKY. Atmosphere is great, people are great. Check it out!
(5)Heather W.
Great coffee, salads, and super friendly staff and owners. They get you in and out on weekdays and never rush you if you are there for an extended stay on weekends. Try the cheesecake for a delicious treat. The pieces are huge and perfectly homemade.
(4)Tia H.
Really good food, expansive menu and very friendly staff. Lots of seating, inside and out with a very chill atmosphere. I will definitely be back soon!
(5)Robert W.
Nice cafe with pastries and pretty good coffee. Very high level of self serve even to the point of being directed to a microwave when I asked for the blueberry muffin to be warmed. Quiet and nice, service could be more extensive for the price.
(3)Ashley G.
Love the atmosphere first off, such a quaint little shop. And it's a nice touch that they support local artists which helps to add a nice visual touch each time you visit.. The brews; my favs being the highlander grogg and spiced vanilla chai, are always on point and bakery/pastries never fail when satisfying your palate. My favorite thing though has to be the lunch; half and half. The half cafe salad always looking and tasting so fresh from the next door marketplace! and the homemade chicken salad....(I'm salivating as I speak!) And in my opinion you must have it on the croissant. I love that they have goetta on deck for breakfast options too. The owners couldn't be more friendly and involved with the customers and you just can't resist the urge to leave with a smile and feeling good! I HIGHLY recommend you try this place, you'll be hooked!
(5)Heather L.
Special local coffee house. Quality coffee. Handmade pastries and cheesecake to die for. Friendly staff and the owners are great members of the community. Also try the food! My fave is the hummus salad. Local artists have things on display for purchase too. A little pricey, which is the sole reason this isn't 5 stars.
(4)Craig C.
This shop is awesome. For those of you who prefer the big conveyor belt coffee operations, you may not love Reality. For those that love walking in and trying new flavors and new ideas, this is a wonderful place. The pastries are delicious, but the staff is the nicest that you will find. As a side note, this place makes a hell of a birthday cake if you have a need for that!
(5)Victoria K.
The house coffee blend was fantastic. Pleasant and friendly service. They have pastries and also breakfast sandwiches made to order. I got a bacon, egg & cheese which took a few minutes but was a pretty solid choice!
(4)JoEllen H.
Good coffee, lots of choices, nice veggie options and the pastries look great. Will stop by this local, community minded shop the next time I'm in the area.
(5)Todd W.
Great local coffee shop vibe with very good, healthy sandwich and salad options. Just off i75/71 exit 189 makes this a treat for people like me who travel through the area often. Brought my son with me this tune though and he said "I'd come here a lot if I lived here", to which I responded "I come here often and I don't (live here)".
(5)Witni S.
I really like this local coffee shop. It was a favorite when I lived on that side of town. The plain old grogg coffee is a good choice to wake up in the mornings. Nice balance of flavor and strength. This shop has plenty of seating. It can seat larger groups than most coffee shops. Reality has friendly owners and staff and often features local artists and musicians. Service is quick. Drinks are average price and definitely fair for the quality you receive. I prefer espresso drinks and they make a delicious white chocolate mocha. Oh and don't forget to splurge on one of the freshly made muffins. They pair well with a plain coffee. Pass up the big coffee chain and engage in a local experience. You won't regret it.
(4)Jack S.
This place is awesome. Best coffee in the Cincinnati area. The pastries are good and the light fare on the menu (sandwiches, soups, wraps, etc) is excellent. The atmosphere of the place is very cozy, with mismatched tables and wobbly chairs. A lot of character and charm. There's cool art for sale on the walls too. The service has always been polite and friendly. The only thing that makes this place less than perfect is the weird jesusy vibe going on sometimes, and that the location way out in the suburbs lends it self to there usually being a lot of annoying children running around. These are very minor complaints though. Overall, top notch coffee, great service, nice atmosphere, and good food.
(4)Cacique G.
RT has great hours and a solid latte at a price that will not be beat. The atmosphere is more chill 8 recent years and the baked goods look like your grandma went crazy .
(5)Patrick P.
When I am writing this review there are a couple of things to consider: 1. I really should be working and not on Yelp 2. I am probably high off of caffiene and did not proof read what I wrote 3. I am a probably eating a bear claw or one of the established sandwiches I know too much information. The atmosphere is really fun at the cafe. It is wide open so I did not feel like I was sitting on someone's lap or apart of anothers conversation (i.e. Starbucks) and could focus and do my own thing. The coffee was yummy. I have not had seven hills coffee (which I did not know they served). I thought someone ran outside and put their personal order to Juan Valdez hmself would graciously provided hand pick beans right off his mule. I had the 1/2 quesadilla - (bbq chicken) and Bear Claw. Both were yummy and felt fortunate they did not offer a buffet but I would probably still be wedged in a chair for the next week (I might need jaws of life to free me). A high recommend and look forward to my next trip. Enjoy!
(4)Heidi B.
I was traveling through, and found this fun place on Yelp. Its a great coffee shop with even better pastries, and just a mile off the highway! I loved the local artwork and super friendly staff!
(5)Tammi H.
This is a great little coffee shop that my husband and I much prefer over going to a Starbucks. We are wedding photographers and are in here multiple times a week meeting with clients. There are always places to sit. Not to mention their menu of sandwiches are really tasty, and they have fresh baked pastries and muffins every day. The baristas are always friendly and they remember what we order now, since we come in so often. We love this place!
(5)Elina K.
This shop is nice. I wish they stayed open a leeeetle bit later into the midnight hours but there's places across the river for that. Mostly I really like the size of the space and the abundant seating and tables conducive to doing work. It's not just that odd assortment of cafe chairs and domino style furniture, they've got nice restaurant style booths and big wooden table tops for spreading out. I didn't try the smoothies although they sounded delicious. It seems like their dessert selection was a bit depleted by the time I got there but that is fine with me because there was still a few high carb caramelized looking things in the case. I like it, will certainly add to list of places to lounge.
(4)Ann L.
It's cute. It's cozy. It's a great place for a cup of coffee. And It's a great place to meet potential clients. They have wifi and a few good spots to layout that portfolio and talk business. I love the art they display. and the comfy couch and chairs. They get creative with their sweets too. It has a more "home away from home" feel while working on your laptop, than, say a Panera or Starbucks. Plus, you are sure to see friends there or probably make friends there.
(4)Ann V.
This place is really cute, and a nice change from my typical obsessions w/ Coffee Emporium. If I'm going to Ky, and I don't take the highway (because it's scary), I will drive by this place on the way to the gym or Crestview Hills Mall, and usually stop in for a delicious fruit smoothie (you get to choose two vitamins that come with) and their grilled cheese which is delicious on that big sourdough bread. I like it because its family-owned and has been in business for quite a while. Its also right next door to a little produce market that has fresh fruits and veggies, hummus and feta, a deli and old-timey candies. So, I can stop at RT's for a smoothie or latte, and then pop in next door for some take home dinner goodies. RT's also has WiFi and delicious pastries that are made by a local bakery, and I believe they make some of the treats as well, even though I was a little bit skeptical at first. You should try their giant iced cookies covered in decorative frosting, but you really can't go wrong in the satisfy a sweet-tooth department. There are a couple of things about this place that they could work on, the service can be SLOW. There are usually only 2 ppl. usually in high school working the front, so if you're in a rush go to Starbuck's ma dear. Also, their is a willy-nillyness about the mix of random chairs, couches, and tables, and their booths are kind of rickety. I usually just get something to go. However it is definitely a quiet place to work. the location is a little bit weird, and hard to find if you're unfamiliar with that neighborhood, eventhough it is on the main road.
(4)Michael C.
Delicious coffee, reasonable prices, comfy surroundings, and homemade lemon squares that melt in your mouth... What more can a coffee lover ask for? My only real gripe with Reality Tuesday is that it isn't closer to downtown Cincinnati. If it were within a ten minute drive of my house, it would easily be my favorite coffeehouse in town. Hell... It might still be my favorite coffeehouse in town.
(5)Mike W.
Really chill place. Reality Tuesdays has an off-the wall kind of atmosphere, but plenty to offer. I've never had the chance to swing by for lunch, but it is a great local coffee shop to go meet up with friends. The pastries and other snacks are pretty good, but they make a great cup of coffee on top of it. It should probably go without saying, but free wi-fi is available as well. My minor nag is that they seem just a touch more expensive than other coffee shops. It's to be expected since they're not a big chain, but they make up for it with good service and beverages.
(4)Tracey M.
My fav coffee spot ! Try their sugar cookies.. mmmmm good. Owners are wonderful people and they produce a great product in a great environment. I moved away from this area in 07 and when I return to visit, they remember me! They are that good!!
(5)Laura F.
It was a rainy Monday , when I walked into Reality Tuesday. I needed lunch, and free WiFi to tide me over until I worked later in the day. I found a spot at a large hightop table in the back, after ordering a sandwich from their lunch menu. It was the veggie with hummus and it was yumtastic. The pine nuts and dried cranberries sprinkled over the top added texture, color, and a great taste to the veggies and hummus. After enjoying that with good old Lipton iced tea, I craved something sugary. And boy do they have that! There were so many choices but I chose a pumpkin cheesecake. Yum, yum and triple yum! I enjoyed my cake and surfed the web with a mix of work, personal, and entertainment surfing. The din in the place was just the right amount and it got pretty busy during the lunch rush. I did wish they had more places to plug in a laptop but I guess at lunch hours one takes what one can get. Though I live in Northern KY and am only maybe 6 miles away I don't go here as often as I should. I also had forgotten their extensive baked goods area. Check out their website for their beautiful selection. Finally, I found the staff friendly as they chatted amongst themselves and the regulars. When I ordered the woman was very nice and helpful. There was no sense of rush or artifice either. I definitely will come back more for coffee, tea, cake and WiFi.
(4)R.J. s.
Been here 3 times for casual business meetings. Great selection of coffee drinks and pastries in a quiet inviting atmosphere. The location is perfect for me. I will be back.
(4)Amberly Edgley S.
This is my favorite 'coffee' shop. I am a tea-only kind of girl so I love the variety of choices. My absolute favorite is the Chai -spice, vanilla and even holiday varieties like pumpkin in the Fall. Yummy! The local artwork and family photos make the atmosphere relaxed and personal; a place where everyone knows your name. You can go alone and enjoy a some quiet time, take the kids for a sweet treat, or use the free wifi to cruise the net. Great place + Great people = Great Reality!
(5)Ryan C.
I love this place. Great meeting place, great service. Just improved their coffee making machines to have even better java... I recommend using Reality Tuesday Cafe as your meeting place, this is my office away from my office and I love everything about this place.
(4)Sarah L.
THis is a good little coffee shop, nestled in the shopping center in Park Hills. Its usually pretty busy, but I have never had trouble finding seating. This place has a lot of character- you won't feel the need to be typing on your Mac while reading Vonnegut and skyping... unless you want to. The coffee is great and if you like flavored lattes, they have a huge variety of choices. My favorite is an Almond Joy latte with cocunut, mocha and almond... extra shot, of course. So good!
(4)S W.
Coffee, desert, a quiet lunch, it's the best thing going around NKY. Ignore any bad reviews of RT's, this is our favorite hangout, and I don't know anyone who would ever sing anything but praises.
(5)Leigh H.
Reality Tuesday used to be my regular coffee stop, but now I only stop here on mornings I have to get to work early, since Groove doesn't open until 7:30. It's a perfectly serviceable coffee shop, but it's not my favorite. There's often a long wait, even if the line is not that long. And with three baristas scurrying around behind the counter, you'd think they'd be able to get drinks out faster. Also, if you're not a regular and on a first-name basis with the baristas, there's a vibe that you're not part of "in-crowd," a Johnny or Jilly Come Lately to the Reality Tuesday scene. The baked goods look pretty much amazing, but I've never tried them, and the coffee is just aight. There have been several occasions when I've gotten grounds in the bottom of my drink, and that's pretty much the worst. Still, I stop in on early mornings, especially since they have an extra-large size for those days when you just can't get by without a giant cup of joe. Reality Tuesday doesn't bite, but it's definitely not my favorite, either.
(3)Adam S.
I love, love, love this place. It's great to have a job you can do at home in your boxers, but sometimes you just need to get OUT. When I have loads of work to do and need a place to go, I go to Reality Tuesday Cafe. Why? 1) They serve Seven Hills Coffee. (SHC might be one of the four best reasons to live in Cincinnati.) 2) Free wifi. 3) They leave you the hell alone. Seriously, I cannot overstate this one. So many times I've been in a writing rhythm, only to have someone come over to offer me a muffin. You know what? If I want a muffin, I'll ask for one. I know where you work! But yeah, the people are great and respectful, and the coffee is very fairly priced. I've had old ladies hit me in the head with their purse (three times) and children run up and harass me, but I still love it. (I also witnessed a gaggle of little ballerinas have a fake fart-off. That, fellow yelpers, was AMAZING.
(5)Jackie S.
I heard about this place from a friend who pointed it out while driving by. This is the kind of friend who has no reservations about indulging in desserts, so his statement that they had the best cheesecake in Cincinnati really peaked my interest. I stopped in today with some time to kill. I'm contented hanging out in a smooth atmosphere. I love that they are locally owned, open late, and have free wifi. I would definetely recommend it as a place to sudy or meet up with friends. The baristas are very friendly and willing to accommodate my request for a custom drink. It seemed like one was training a new hire and I had the pleasure of listening in on the conversation. The level of scientific detail and technique prescribed to the different drinks would put "Bill Nigh the Science Guy" to shame. (You're welcome for that Generation X throwback reference). Anyways, we're not talking about amateurs here. After reading previous reviews raging about the chai, I'm a bit unimpressed by the fact that they use a powder mix. Oh well, I came for the cheesecake after all, right? So here's the moment of truth... The cheesecake is...A-OK. At $4.75 a slice, it's not something I would make a special trip for. I got their Original NY cheesecake, so I would have a good baseline comparison. It fulfilled all the requirements of being a cheesecake, but I can't say that it really impressed me. Net Net, a great place to hang out or meet up with people, but not my favorite.

I'm not a coffee person, but I really like this place. They have coffee, desserts, and smoothies! I love smoothies, so when my friends order coffee that's what I get. They are freshly made and delicious with whipped cream on the top. Of course, I'm content with pretty much every smoothie I've ever tried so I guess I'm not the best judge. The thing I like best about this place is the atmosphere. I love that it's a Christian establishment. There aren't very many places out there that have Christian artwork on the walls, and soft contemporary Christian music playing. It's something that someone who loves Christian music like me really respects, but it's quiet enough that it doesn't bother people who don't like it. This is a great place to just hang out, and if I drank coffee... I'd come here a lot.

Good local coffee. Atmosphere is cozy... can be chilly in the cafe in the winter. The bakery goods are a key highlight - and get here early for donuts - they go quick!

All the employees have always been super nice and take great care of me every time I'm in. Often they remember my name and order. Everything that I have had there has been excellent.

Love this place! Great stop for coffee and a muffin. It's also great to sit and read your newspaper, a book, or meet a friend and sip your coffee and chat. Great service, everyone is super friendly!

Not my favorite. I prefer the boring cookie cutter atmosphere of chain coffee shops. Sorry. What can I say? Previous reviews mention the fact that wifi was not free. I found it to be and the staff supplies the password. Men's bathroom is repulsive and the atmosphere is a dingy/dirty in general. Just look up at the ceiling is all I'll say. In deference to my wife's love affair with this place I'll mention the following.... Wife loves the muffins at this place and the baked goods in general. I didn't like my pistachio muffin. She claims everything is "homemade" for what that's worth.... Wife and her friends also love the iced chai tea drinks and are regulars here. To each there own. Lots of people love this place, I'll take the quality control of a chain when it comes to coffee shops. Give them a shot, just not my cup of tea.

I live in Chicago now, but stopped in while home for Christmas for the first time in at least 5 years. It hasn't changed much and that's probably a good thing. The drinks were still good, the atmosphere was still very cosy. I wish I had a place like this in Chicago!

We were headed out for a little trip to the Carolinas and coffee was a necessity. I had my eyes peeled for something that was close to the road and not a Starbucks - and then I saw a sign for this place. It was about a mile from the interstate, and I'm so glad we stopped. We grabbed a few pastries - Caramel-frosted donut, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin, and a Lemon-Poppyseed Muffin - and everything was darn tasty. My Pumpkin Latte was good, not too bitter like it tends to be at independent coffee shops. Better labeling of the pastries would be appreciated though!

Service was decent, not popping out at us, but decent. Food was great. Atmosphere was great as well. Wait time seemed a little slow. Our food was to go and they didn't put a spoon in our bag for the soup :(

Perfect neighborhood coffee shop. I stop here at least once a week if not more. Their classics of grogg and reality blend are solid staples. Always get service with a smile and their pastries are amazing- always rotating for different varieties every week. Perfect spot to sit with a laptop and work the day away. You'll see young grade school kids and their parents, high school goers, and your city professionals. Great mix of people and a warm inviting atmosphere.

I only ordered regular coffee (no food). It was good. The atmosphere was good and the people were nice. I would definitely go back ... and if we lived in the area, we would frequent there.

unfortunately, this place is awful. $5 for an egg sandwich that's cold on thick, tasteless COLD TOAST and utilizes COLD pre-formed egg patties and zero butter or margarine is unheard of in sane places. just plain awful. the turtle cheesecake was foul. it had gone bad, plus there was no caramel and nary a hint of nuttiness. BEWARE: OLD, ROTTING CHEESECAKE. i was refused a refund. listen, if one bite tells my palate and stomach that it is spoiled cheesecake, AND YOU HAVE SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY CHEESECAKE LEFT OVER FROM LAST WEEK...i deserve my $5. the cinnamon roll twists have apple in them. this is NOT in the description. my throat closes up and itches when i eat apples.
